San Francisco-based Sugarshots, Inc. has released a new line of easy dissolving, natural liquid sugar for use in beverages.

Some 63 percent of Americans sweeten their coffee or tea, but don't get full flavor because sugar granules don't easily dissolve and are refined with other ingredients, company officials say.

"Coffee and tea drinkers give a lot of thought to the selection of the perfect bean or special leaf for their favorite beverage," Sugarshots co-founder Scott Waltz says. "With traditional sweeteners, they lose the flavor nuance of that selection because of uneven sweetness and additives that confuse the palate."
