Humble Beginnings

It started with a lunch date.

People often ask us how we came up with this idea—liquid cane sugar. Like countless other people everyday, we were literally having lunch one day and we started complaining about the sugar sitting idle at the bottom of our iced teas. But what choice did we have? Expose our bodies to artificial sweeteners with their saccharines and phenylalanines? All for what? Dissolvability? Fewer calories? There had to be a better way.

So we looked for a better way. And you know what we found? Nothing.

Sure, there were countless “syrup” companies offering every flavor imaginable. But we didn’t want a watermelon amaretto flavor for our latte. We wanted pure cane sugar that dissolved instantly and sweetened uniformly. That’s not too much to ask, right? Wrong.
The next thing we found were simple syrups. “Simple” is right, because most contain low-grade sugars from beets, a root crop that’s grown in the dirt and consequently doesn’t contain the trace minerals that make cane sugar taste so much better. Hardly a suitable alternative for a gourmet-style cappuccino.

So what choice were we left with? Start a company, of course. A company that’s dedicated to providing the purest cane sugar imaginable—and in its ideal form—LIQUID.
